Job Description: |
The Manager of HR and Accounting has the primary responsibility to oversee the financial activities of the company while managing all aspects of Accounting, oversight of HR Compliance, and monitoring internal controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, and accounting; maintains team accountability in process documentation of the procedures
- Reporting directly to the CEO
- Oversees and supports in the preparation of various financial statements and reports for all internal reporting to the CEO
- Ensures the reporting of sales and use taxes, files all other necessary government reports as required
- Provides guidance and oversight on payroll, payroll taxes, quarterly filings
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action plans
- Works closely with Property and Casualty brokers to ensure proper coverages are maintained
- Develop, maintain, and communicate risk management processes for the company to includes analysis and financial impact
- Ensures the accuracy of statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues
- Leads activities involved in annual financial audits and quarterly reviews by outside accounting firm and reports results to top management.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
Qualifications:

Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Accounting/Finance.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
Language, Mathematical, Knowledge & Ability Requirements:
- Fluent in English preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedure,s and/or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Familiar with Intuit Quick Book
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
