Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Accountant and Financial Specialist to join our team. As a Qualified Accountant and Financial Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, providing expert financial advice, and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization. You will play a crucial role in managing financial resources, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.

Responsibilities:


  1. Financial Management: Oversee the financial operations of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement to optimize financial resources.

  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Generate insightful financial reports for management and stakeholders.

  3. Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Coordinate external audits and assist with internal audits. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and adjust financial practices accordingly.

  4. Tax Planning and Compliance: Coordinate tax-related activities, including tax planning, preparation, and compliance. Work with tax authorities and external tax advisors to address any tax-related issues.

  5. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, interpret financial data, and provide meaningful insights to guide decision-making. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic planning and business growth.

  6. Cost Control and Efficiency: Monitor costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to improve efficiency and optimize resource allocation. Conduct financial evaluations of projects and initiatives.

  7. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting function. Streamline financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.

  8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior management. Provide financial guidance and support to non-financial stakeholders.

  9. Bookkeeping and Record-keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. Ensure adherence to best practices in financial bookkeeping and record-keeping.




Requirements:



  1. Professional Qualification: Possess a recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA, ACA). Membership in relevant accounting bodies is desirable.

  2. Experience: Have a proven track record of at least 10 years working as a Qualified Accountant or in a similar role. Experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, financial analysis, and bookkeeping on the uk market is essential.

  3. Knowledge of Accounting Standards: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and relevant legislation. Stay updated on emerging accounting trends and practices.

  4. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.

  5. Financial Software Proficiency: Proficient in using accounting software and other financial management tools. Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.

  6. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present financial information effectively and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  7. Integrity and Ethics: Demonstrated high ethical standards and integrity in handling financial information. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial matters with discretion.

  8. Adaptability and Time Management: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and regulatory requirements.
